About Us
If you have been to Costa Rica, one term you should be familiar with is “Pura Vida”
(pronounced poo-rah vee-dah). Simply translated, it means “simple life” or “pure life”, but in Costa Rica, it is more than just a saying...It is a way of life.
We're a coffee cart from Mesa, Arizona and our goal is to provide you with “Pura Vida” coffee every time. Our dedication to quality and service is driven by our commitment to our customers, a passionate caffeine addiction, continued research and spreading the
“Pura Vida” way of life and to deliver the highest quality specialty coffee to you.
We work directly with Coopedota importing freshly roasted, single-origin Tarrazu beans directly from Costa Rica. We also use locally sourced ingredients to provide our purest expression of unique taste and unrivaled quality.
Try one of our PVG specialties (The Lobo, Cookies or The Ocean Runner to name a few) or create your own specialty from our endless flavors. From lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, iced tea, flavored lemonades and infused Red Bull drinks, there's a drink for everyone. You're sure to get refreshing drinks to satisfy any palate. Visit us at our shop in Mesa, at one of our many events around the Valley or book us for your own private event.
The Pura Vida Grinds story starts with 2 people who were searching for something more from life and found each other, creating an unstoppable team that was ready to take on life together.
Lobo comes from Costa Rica, where much of his family still resides and Angela has lived in Arizona for most of her life. Sampling double shots of espresso became a passion of theirs and they knew, without a doubt, that the Costa Rican coffee beans that they would receive in care packages from Costa Rica were by far the best around. They were convinced that they needed to bring the taste of PURA VIDA to Arizona and share it with as many people as possible.
We want to spread not only the Pura Vida way of life through our coffee, but through all things Costa Rican. You can get some of your favorite Costa Rican treats and PVG gear at our shop in Mesa, Arizona.
Not in Arizona? No problem, we have you covered! Shop our online store day or night and load up on what ever you need!
